HISTORY
By a vote of the Membership, SCOV purchased the Copper Health building to relieve overcrowding in the Artisan Center, Welcome Center, and Cart Barn, and to create additional space for the Library.

Copper Center Renovation Task Force (CCRTF) started in May 2023. The CCRTF:
• Met weekly starting August 2, 2023 for 2 to 3 hours per week.
• Weekly meeting attendance resulting in over 500 interactions either in person or by Zoom.
• Logged and responded to over 100 questions, statements, and suggestions from the community.
• Met with and/or received reports from 25 clubs, organizations, building stakeholders, and committees to learn about their space needs, operations, and requirements.
• Held two community presentations, each attended by over 100 in person and 40 Zoom guests. The presentation included recommended layouts for each of the three buildings.

The process involved numerous residents with construction and building renovation background. The process was transparent. It was thorough. It allowed for and received extensive resident input.
